We are currently working with Nolan Commercial on a number of projects who have continued to deliver an impressive product along with a quality installation, which we feel is more important. Projects such as the re-cladding works at Maes yr Yrfa School are a credit to all involved and we hope to transfer this quality onto other projects in the future.

Leonard Cheshire Care Home Carmarthen

Client: Dawnus Construction
Value: £12,000

After 50 years, the existing Coomb Cheshire Home in Llangynog has been replaced with a new £3m state-of-the art specialist care home.

The new care home in Johnstown, Carmarthen caters for 30 disabled elderly people, with 20 beds in the main building and 10 living independently in tenancy accommodation on the site.

Nolan Commercial was asked by the project's contractor Dawnus Construction to supply and install three pairs of double and two single aluminium doors. All doors are automated, with a set of double doors for the entrance and the others opening onto patio areas.

The 10 independent living spaces are equipped with the latest technology. Disability charity Leonard Cheshire opened the home off Llysonnen Road in September 2009.

Together with Carmarthenshire, people from Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Swansea and Neath are eligible for places in the home.
