Xcel Bowl Carmarthen

Client: Cotton Ltd
Value: £33,000
Product(s): Automated Aluminium Entrance Doors

Ten pin bowling has arrived in Carmarthen and considering its close proximity it wasn’t a project to be passed up by Nolan.

Contracted by Cotton Ltd, Nolan Commercial contributed to the refurbishment of the existing building to create a new ten pin bowling centre. Our services included the fabrication and fit of automated aluminium doors to the building’s main entrance.

The £1.3m Xcel Bowl project has renovated former buildings once part of the St Ivel Creamery. The project has completely refurbished the previously derelict old buildings into a functional, bowling centre for the local community.

Four years in the planning, Towy Community Church managed to secure lottery funding, Welsh Government funding and support from Carmarthenshire Council to create the only facility of its kind in Carmarthenshire and now provides 12 lanes of bowling, a recreational space and hot and cold food. The development has also provided a food bank and furniture recycling facility to the rear.

A second phase will see the creation of a 612-seater auditorium and conference centre, a debt counselling service and a 50-seater café.
